In Wales, the Methodist Church and the Church in Wales are two of the five Covenanted Churches in Wales; the others are the Covenanted Baptist churches, the Presbyterian Church of Wales, and the United Reformed Church. This Covenant dates from 1975.
In Scotland, the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Scotland District of the Methodist Church have been in a partnership with the National Synod of Scotland of the United Reformed Church since 2010; it is known as the EMU (Episcopal-Methodist-United Reformed) Partnership.
In Ireland, the Methodist Church in Ireland and the Church of Ireland entered a Covenant in 2002. A Covenant Council was established in 2003 and continues to work towards greater unity between the two churches.
The United Methodist-Episcopal Church dialogue began meeting in 2002 and its most recent report is A Gift to the World.
The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia (Te Hahi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tireni, Ki Nga Moutere o te Moana Nui a Kiwa) and the Methodist Church In New Zealand (Te Hahi Weteriana o Aotearoa) entered into a Covenant in 2008.
The Anglican Communion and the World Methodist Council have engaged in two rounds of dialogue: the first produced Sharing in the Apostolic Communion in 1996 and the second produced Into All the World: Being and Becoming Apostolic Churches in 2014.
